…needs more daylight!

South Minneapolis, MN

With Bluestem Remodeling

This 60’s Rambler (and its owner!) already had the midcentury style, but the main level was cramped for living space, with it’s dark basement unfit for prolonged use.

Two tiny existing windows are elongated and connected, flooding the connected spaces with daylight harvested from the accompanying egress well. Guardrail cutouts and a barn door provide the exercise room with flexibility upon use, while preserving & facilitating critical storage beyond.

Efficiency (at no expense to style!) was the top priority at the renovated bathroom and laundry, maximizing resources to align with client goals.
